Terms & Conditions

1. ACCEPTANCE
Acceptance of any order by the purchaser for the supply of goods will be subject to these conditions of sale.  

 

2. PRICES  

  • Prices quoted are ex-works exclusive of VAT and Delivery Charge.  

  • While we shall endeavor to maintain the prices shown, this cannot be guaranteed, and we reserve the right to charge the price ruling at the date of dispatch.  

  • In the event of a price alteration after an order has been placed but before dispatch, notification of such alteration will be made prior to the dispatch of goods.  

3. SPECIFICATIONS  

  • Due to continual improvements in design and manufacturing methods, strict accuracy of specifications and illustrations cannot be guaranteed.  

  • To ensure any product improvements reach the purchaser as soon as possible, the company reserves the right to change the design or specification without formal notice.  

  • Stated load capacities are for evenly distributed loads only and must not be exceeded.  

4. GUARANTEE
Where goods supplied by the seller are found to be defective, the seller shall repair or, at their discretion, replace the defective goods free of charge within one year (unless otherwise stated) from the date of delivery, subject to the following conditions:


4.1 The buyer must notify the seller in writing immediately upon the defect becoming apparent.  
4.2 The defect must be due to faulty design, materials, or workmanship of the seller.  
4.3 Goods to be repaired or replaced must be returned to the seller at the buyer’s expense, if requested by the seller.  
4.4 If goods have been manufactured and supplied by a third party, any guarantee granted to the seller in respect of the goods will be passed on to the buyer.  
4.5 The seller may, at their absolute discretion, refund the price of defective goods if the price has already been paid.  
4.6 The guarantee excludes product finish, locks, wheels, and castors.  
4.7 These remedies are without prejudice to other terms and conditions herein.  

5. DELIVERY

  • Delivery dates are estimates only, and the company shall not be liable for any loss or damage resulting from delivery delays.  

  • The company will not be liable for delays due to events beyond its control (e.g., acts of God, war, strikes, extreme weather).  

  • Goods may be delivered in installments, with each installment treated as a separate contract.  

  • Goods will be delivered to the point most convenient to the carrier (e.g., goods inwards department or ground floor reception). Additional transfers or installations within the purchaser’s premises must be arranged prior to delivery and will incur extra charges.  

  • All goods must be examined and signed for upon receipt.  

6. CLAIMS

  • Goods must be examined upon receipt, and any damage or discrepancies must be noted on the carrier’s sheet.  

  • The company must be notified in writing of damage or incomplete deliveries within three days of delivery.  

  • Claims for shortage or damage will not be entertained after a clear receipt has been given to the carriers.  

  • Total non-delivery must be notified within seven days of the invoice date.  

  • Goods are not sold for any particular purpose; the end user is responsible for assessing product suitability.  

  • The company is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from the sale of goods.  

7. RETURN OF GOODS  

  • Standard ex-stock products can only be returned with prior agreement and within 14 days of receipt.  

  • A handling charge may be imposed, dependent on the condition of the returned goods.  

  • Carriage charges for the outward journey and return are payable by the purchaser.  

  • Bespoke goods manufactured for a customer are not eligible for return.  

  • As per distance selling regulations, unused and as-new products in undamaged packaging can be returned within seven working days from delivery.

 

8. REFUND POLICY 
Method 1: Return the product to our warehouse with proof of purchase for a credit.  
Method 2: Contact us via email at chrisjeuken@hotmail.com with your order number to arrange a refund.  
Refunds exclude delivery charges and are issued via bank transfer within 3-5 working days.  

Refund Exceptions: 

  • Returns without proof of purchase.  

  • Used or damaged products, or products with broken seals or damaged packaging.  

  • Custom-made goods.

9. RESERVATION OF TITLE  

  • Goods remain the company’s property until full payment is received.  

  • Responsibility for maintenance and insurance passes to the purchaser upon delivery.  

10. COPYRIGHT  

  • The content of our website is protected by international copyright laws and intellectual property rights.  

  • Material may only be downloaded for the purpose of placing an order with Shelving Ireland or using the website as a shopping resource.  

  • Modification, reproduction, or distribution of website material is prohibited without prior written consent.
